  Ms. Sheets has more than twenty-five years experience training and teaching in the martial arts and has been an instructor at WKA since 1998.  She is a proud member of the LBGTQ+ community.  Her studies have included judo, arnis, adrenal stress training, qigong, and Uechi-Ryu. Ms. Sheets currently holds the rank of 7th degree black belt in Uechi-Ryu and is certified as a master instructor (Shihan)    

They have trained in Uechi-ryu karate for nearly 30 years at the Washington Karate Academy, under the tutelage of Robert Kaiser, Kyoshi-Hachidan, and his teachers, Frank Gorman, 9th degree black belt, and Sensei Ken Nakamatsu, 9th degree black belt, of Okinawa  

 Mr. Cox holds a  8th degree black belt in the traditional Okinawan style of Uechi Ryu Karate-do. He is certified as a master instructor (Shihan).  His training began in 1984 and continues today. He has also trained Kung Fu, Qi Gong, and MMA as well as Arnis.
