Sensei Kaiser founded the Washington Karate Academy in Washington, DC in 1994. He began his training in Uechi-Ryu Karate in February, 1976. Mr. Kaiser holds the highly respected Shihan, a Master Instructor ranking given to exemplary teachers (fifth degree black belt and above.) Sensei Kaiser is a 9th degree black belt and board member of the Jiteki Jyuku Association of North America. He currently trains and teaches regularly in New York.
Mr. Kaiser began his training at the well-known Mattson Academy of Karate in Boston, Massachusetts under George E. Mattson. Mr. Kaiser studied directly under Robert J. Campbell and Clarence V. Wilder, two well-respected and highly successful tournament competitors. Mr. Kaiser continued his training with these Boston-based teachers through 1988 when he moved to South Florida and began training with his teacher, Mr. Frank J. Gorman, who held the rank of 9th degree black belt before his passing in 2023. Sensei Gorman's teacher was Mr. Ken Nakamatsu of Kitanakagusuko, Okinawa.
Mr. Kaiser has conducted self-defense and wellness seminars for many groups and associations in the United States and Europe. He has received extensive security and self-defense training and has conducted undercover and surveillance investigations for major U.S. corporations. Mr. Kaiser has provided executive protection for Fortune 500 companies as well as the royal families of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
